Hannah is a wonderful trainer! When I started working with her, I basically only ran for exercise. Hannah helped me incorporate other types of workouts into my exercise regiment, which have made me both a stronger person and a better runner. While my initial goals for training were to tone and lose weight, since training one-on-one with Hannah I have gained so much more. I enjoy going to the gym more than I ever have. I finally reached the point where when I say, “I have to go to the gym” it doesn’t mean “I have to go lose weight by being uncomfortable and bored.” It means that I want to go to see what I can do, to focus and to improve on what I already know. I used to have lower back pain every day and my knees would hurt when biking. My back and knees no longer hurt because we’ve worked to build up the muscles in those ares and to tighten my core to relieve the strain on my back. Training has even helped me outside of the gym! I’ve always been a person who wanted instant results and gotten easily discouraged when things didn’t come easily, but the work I’ve done with Hannah has shown me that steadily and persistently building on your program - whatever it is - WILL get you what you strive for.

Personal training is a financial investment and a time commitment but it is worth it—every penny and every minute. I laugh at myself now for thinking I would see drastic results in a month when I first started but after several months, I did see a marked improvement, not only in my target areas, but all over. Coworkers and friends often comment, “I swear you’re thinner every time I see you!” I’m proud of the work I’ve done, the results I’ve seen, how strong I feel and excited to see what’s coming next!

Hannah and I started working together a year ago. I was first intrigued by her work as I observed her sessions with other clients at Healthworks. I thought I’m going to give her a try and boy am I glad I did. I learned not only is Hannah a master at her craft but working with her is a true pleasure. I always look forward to our sessions and her warm enthusiastic personality consistantly adds an up beat energy to our workouts together. She thinks outside of the box with a creative mind and is always consious not to push the body too far creating injury.
Both the physical and mental benefits of working with Hannah have been huge. I feel completely different in my body today compared to before we started. I am more flexible, balanced and inwardly calm. As my physical body has gotten stronger my emotional and energetic body have followed.

I really like to have a trainer who I feel is on my side. I originally signed up for a personal trainer because I felt that my workout and my motivation needed an extra boost. I wanted something to make me come to the gym more often and work harder. But I definitely got much much more than that. Working with Hannah gave me confidence in what I could do with my body, which is interesting because I didn’t think I needed confidence. I’m used to working out hard and getting a good sweat, but I definitely wasn’t reaching my full potential. Hannah helped me by showing me exercises I wouldn’t have thought I needed, working out areas of my body that supported my posture and helped to change the shape of my body. I had previously only been focused on my “problem areas,” and didn’t see how working on the overall package actually helped out these areas more. My training is on hold for the moment (just had a baby), but I can’t wait to get back into the gym! I know Hannah will help me get these baby pounds off and get my body back in shape for motherhood.
